Itinerary:

Day One – Sunday

Depart Perth, travel to Pinjarra where we have morning tea and a look at this lovely historic town on the banks of the Murray River. Heading south, we go straight to Busselton, a picturesque seaside town, where we have lunch and a walk on the iconic Busselton jetty, before making our way to our accommodation at the beautiful Abbey Beach Resort. You have the rest of the afternoon free to explore and get your creativity flowing. The beach is on our doorstep, so it will be easy to set up your paints and easel and get started on a scene. Pre-dinner drinks at the bar before our scrumptious group dinner.

Day Two – Monday

Today we will visit the Margaret River area. On the way we have a painting stop at Meelup Beach, which is a lovely tranquil beach on the sheltered Geographe Bay coastline. There won’t be any need for lunch interruption as you’ll have a provided packed lunch with you to eat when you feel like it. We head on down to Margaret River to the Boranup Karri Forest for another painting session. On the way back we stop in the town of Margaret River for a quick shopping fix before returning to Busselton for dinner.

Day Three – Tuesday

Today we explore the town of Bridgetown, with plenty of time to paint your choice of the tranquil Blackwood River with its stunning ripples and reflections, and birdlife, or Bridgetown’s historic buildings including churches, pubs, and Bridgedale House. Once again, you’ll have your own provided packed lunch to eat when you need a break from your masterpiece. Pre-dinner drinks and dinner back at our accommodation.

Day Four – Wednesday

Today we visit the quaint and magical town of Balingup. Balingup is nestled amongst rolling hills in the Blackwood River Valley, surrounded by vast expanses of native forest interspersed with orchards, vineyards and farmlands. You can awaken your senses with the smells and sights of spring – animals, birds, flowers abound, giving you the opportunity to paint spring at its best. We’ll have a full day here for you to paint at your leisure, stopping to have your own provided packed lunch when you’re ready. We return to Busselton for pre-dinner drinks and our last dinner together.

Day Five – Thursday

Our last breakfast together, when we’ll also have a “show and tell” (if you want to) of all the work we’ve produced over the last few days. Who knows, maybe some of the guests at the motel might offer to purchase something! We travel to Australind for morning tea, then some wine tasting, before a boat cruise on the Mandurah canals. Lunch, then back to Perth late afternoon after 5 days of inspiration, new friendships, and a cache of masterpieces.  Hip Hip – Hooray!
