I was very excited to receive a set of paints this week which I’d ordered all the way from Canada.  I’m keen to look after our environment as well as the animals on our planet, so I am always on the lookout for  earth-friendly, cruelty-free products.  When I saw Colors of Nature paints on the internet I jumped on the opportunity for a free sample which I requested and received quickly.  With the sample I was able to do two small paintings (you can see the clown and the Australian landscape on the Colors of Nature website), and the result was quite exciting!  Over the next few weeks I’ll be doing a few paintings with these new paints and I’ll be able to tell you more about their ease of use, how they dry, what paper I use them on etc so stay tuned for more info….

In the meantime, if you’d like to know more about the paints, have a look at the Colors of Nature website and read the FAQ page where you can read about the colour range, lightfastness, testing procedures, and a very interesting paragraph about why they will soon be offering earth-friendly oil paints but not acrylic paints.

Happy “earth-friendly” painting!
